Dr. Parish is a full-time physician in Family Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. He serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Neighborhood Health, a 12 clinic FQHC in the Nashville region. In addition to his administrative role as CMO, Dr. Parish is a clinician in the Medication-Assisted Treatment program for treatment of opioid dependence. He is a Kentucky native and alumnus of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. His twenty-five years of experience has varied from non-profit and for-profit medical groups in addition to private practice.
His upcoming novel, The Blind Caduceus, addresses the coming-of-age of a young physician faced with the challenges of practicing medicine in the world’s most expensive healthcare system fueled by desire for greater profits.
He is a member of the Florida Writers Association, Thoreau Society, and life member of the Ralph Waldo Emerson Society.
